Valve just announced that the Steam Deck is being delayed for two months.

The company announced the delay in a blog post on November 10, blaming the supply chain crunch for the delay in shipments, which are expected to now begin in February 2022.

"We’re sorry about this—we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates," Valve said.

"Based on our updated build estimates, Steam Deck will start shipping to customers February 2022. This will be the new start date of the reservation queue—all reservation holders keep their place in line but dates will shift back accordingly. Reservation date estimates will be updated shortly after this announcement."

The second round of the early Walmart Black Friday sale begins today, with a whole new batch of deals across 4K TVs, laptops, appliances, headphones, toys and electronics. Once again all of these offers are only available for a limited time – until November 14 – or until they sell out.

Remember, you can get access to all of the deals four hours early from 3pm ET if you sign up for a Walmart+ membership. Considering the most popular deals went in a matter of hours last week it's definitely worth considering as you don't want to miss out on some of the biggest discounts of Black Friday 2021 so far.

Early access to Black Friday deals

Sign up to Walmart+ for $12.95
With a Walmart+ membership, you get access to this latest round of the Black Friday sale four hours before everyone else. The first set from last week sold out in lightning-quick time so it's the best way to ensure you bag one of the bargains below.

Onto the deals, then. We think the very best deal is this HP 15.6-inch laptop for only $279 (was $399). This is a terrific price for an everyday laptop that includes an Intel i3 processor, 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Usually, you'd need to pay over $300 to get all three. In fact, the last time we saw this laptop reduced it was down to $329, so this extra $50 discount is an all-time low. Altogether, this spec will ensure speedy performance – whether you're browsing, streaming or working – and is one of the best Black Friday laptop deals we've seen yet.

Moving on, the next highlight is this 60-inch Samsung 4K Smart TV for $548. Sure, you might find a few budget TVs of this size for less in future Black Friday TV deals but it's the cheapest this TV has ever been. Samsung is a well-trusted manufacturer, too, with TVs that sport useful features such as a Crystal Processor to automatically upscale content to a crisp 4K resolution and an Auto-Game mode to ensure a smooth and low latency gaming experience.

But that's far from everything. The latest Walmart Black Friday sale extends across a whole number of other categories. There's the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 for just $139 (was $219) – that's a huge $80 saving on an entry-level tablet for light internet browsing and media streaming. Audiophiles might enjoy the Apple AirPods (2nd Gen) for $89 (was $119) - the lowest ever price for the popular earbuds. Or, for a stocking filler, how about savings of up to $18 on these Lego Harry Potter, Star Wars and Jurassic World sets now for only $30?

Do take a look at many of the other standout deals below and stick with us as we bring you all the Walmart Black Friday deals as they go live over the next few weeks.

HP 15.6-inch (i5) laptop: $379 at Walmart
For those who want a performance boost and have a little extra cash to splash you can upgrade to a version of the above HP laptop with an Intel i5 processor for $379. Samsung 55-inch 4K Smart TV: $499 $479 at Walmart

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7: $219 $139 at Walmart
Save $80
– Another product at a record low price in Walmart's early Black Friday sale. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is an entry-level tablet with a 10.4-inch screen and 32GB of storage. For a bit of light browsing and media streaming it's a solid budget option.

The Tor Project has announced that the latest version of Tor Browser is now available from both the Tor Browser download page as well as its distribution directory.

Not only is this the first stable release based on Firefox ESR 91 but it also includes an important update to Tor 0.4.6.8.

Earlier this this year, Mozilla completely redesigned its browser from the ground up, streamlined its menus and added an all-new tab design to Firefox. Now by basing the latest version of its anonymous browser on Firefox ESR 91, the Tor Project is bringing this new design to Tor Browser for the first time.

Each piece of custom UI in Tor Browser 11 has been modernized to match Firefox's new look and feel and this includes everything from color, typography and buttons to redrawing each of its icons to match the new thinner icon style. At the same time, the connection screen, circuit display, security levels and onion site errors have all received a touch up as well.

Deprecation of V2 onion services

The Tor Project announced last year that V2 onion services would be deprecated at the end of 2021 and since the release of Tor Browser 10.5, it has been warning users who visit V2 online sites of their upcoming retirement.

Now that day has finally come and since updating to Tor 0.4.5.8, V2 onion services are no longer reachable in Tor Browser with users receiving an “Invalid Online Site Address” error instead.

If you receive an error when attempting to visit a previously working V2 address, there is nothing wrong with your browser and the issue actually lies with the site itself. In order to access the site, you can try reaching out to its administrator and asking them to upgrade to a V3 onion service.

Tor Browser users can also easily see whether or not they have any old V2 addresses saved in their bookmarks as the more secure V3 addresses are 56 characters long compared to the 16 character length used by V2 addresses.

Ahead of Battlefield 2042’s release later this month, EA DICE has shed some light on its post-launch plans for the game.

In a recent blog post on the official Battlefield site, EA says that Battlefield 2042’s launch is “only the beginning”, adding that it’s “taking a new approach to live service” with “a commitment to new content” as well as “a goal of enhancing the Battlefield experience through seasons that will continue to evolve the world” of the game.

The post confirms that Battlefield 2042’s first season won’t begin until 2022. An exact date isn’t given but when it does start, players can apparently expect “a new Specialist, Battle Pass and Portal content, and maybe even some new sights to see as the story of Battlefield 2042 continues to unfold”.

The post isn’t forthcoming on anything more specific than that in relation to season one but it does say that there will be more details released “early next year”. In the meantime, when the game launches this month, players will be able to take part in a pre-season. This will involve weekly missions and rewards, as well as limited time modes and “experiences in Battlefield Portal.”

While Battlefield 2042’s first season doesn’t begin until 2022, EA has the game’s first year of live service content planned. Across that year, there will be four seasons in all, “with four Battle Passes, four new Specialists, and new locations along with more fresh content.” EA also promises continued updates for Battlefield Portal which it says will “give players more ways to build and share new Battlefield experiences with the world.”

Analysis: When can you start playing Battlefield 2042?

So, now that you know when you’ll start playing Battlefield 2042’s first season it might be a good idea to find out when you can actually start playing the game full stop. Well, it's now possible to pre-load Battlefield 2042 on all platforms but there are a couple of different dates for when you'll actually be able to start playing it.

The official launch date for the standard edition of the game on all platforms—that’s PS4PS5Xbox Series XXbox Series SXbox One and PC—is November 19 2021. However, EA Play Pro subscribers and those that have pre-ordered the Gold or Ultimate Editions of the game will be able to get early access from November 12. These editions also come with a Year 1 Pass which gives access to those four seasons of live service content we’ve mentioned above.

For those who aren’t sure whether they want to commit to a pre-order but aren’t against trying Battlefield 2042 ahead of its release date, there will also be a 10 hour free trial available to Xbox Game Pass and standard EA Play subscribers starting on November 12. Once your ten hours of playtime are up you’ll need to buy the game to keep playing and if it’s not yet November 19, you’ll need to pay for the Gold or Ultimate Editions if you want to keep enjoying that early access.
