According to The Information, Microsoft is now looking at the possibility of acquiring Warner Bros. Interactive, following a report from CNBC stating that parent company AT&T is considering selling off WB's gaming division for around $4 billion in an effort to reduce around $154 billion in debt.
If true, Microsoft would join the likes of Activision, Blizzard, Electronic Arts and Take-Two Interactive, who have also expressed interest in acquiring WB Interactive's impressive portfolio of studios, which includes Avalanche Software, NetherRealm Studios, Rocksteady Studios, TT Games and more.
Should Microsoft beat out other prospective buyers, it could mean that future games from IPs such as LEGO, Harry Potter, Just Cause, Batman, Mortal Kombat and more could become Xbox exclusives, along with Rocksteady's rumoured Suicide Squad game.
Of all the companies supposedly vying to acquire Warner Bros. Interactive, Microsoft seems like the most likely, given its desire to build a first-party lineup worthy of taking on Sony, and the fact that it has more than enough cash to foot the bill.
That said, The Information's rumors of game studio acquisitions have been wrong in the past, so we'd take this latest rumor with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.

We came across the Kuu K1 not so long ago and were mildly impressed by the manufacturer. But there were promising signs and Kuu is now back with the K2. It is currently on sale at Gearbest for only $340 making it the cheapest new laptop worldwide with 512GB onboard storage.
Gone is the power hungry Core i5-5257U which is now replaced by the quad-core Intel Celeron J4115, which we reviewed in the Chuwi Larkbox.
This processor - which we predict will be one of the stealthy hits of 2020 - is one of the many highlights of the K2. It has four threads, a turbo frequency of up to 2.5GHz and an Intel HD Graphics 600 graphics video sub-system.
There’s a fingerprint button in the power button, a keyboard that is both backlit, rimless and detachable (for cleaning and replacement) and there’s even a dual-use touchpad which can be transformed into a numeric keypad simply by swiping to the right. Intriguing.
We like the camera flap that protects your privacy as well as the all-metal shell and aluminum alloy that keeps the laptop cool (despite the lack of active fan) and lightweight. Yep, this is an entirely silent laptop.
The rest of the specification reads as follows; a 512GB SATA M2. SSD, a microSD card slot, an audio connector, 8GB of DDR3 memory, a 14-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, Windows 10 Pro, up to 8-hours battery life, one HDMI connector, one audio jack and two USB 3.0 ports.
If this product comes from mainland China, it will take at least a month to reach either the US or UK (and potentially more). You may be levied a tax either directly or through the courier.

It took a long time for the Samsung Galaxy Fold to hit store shelves, thanks to years of rumors followed by months of delays, but the resulting product felt undeniably first-gen.
If you're here to find out about Samsung's next foldable phone, you should check out our hands on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip review, which is quite a different beast to the Fold 2. It was launched in February 2020 alongside the Samsung Galaxy S20 range.
The Galaxy Z Flip has a different form factor to the Galaxy Fold (and likely the Fold 2) as it's a 'clamshell' device that folds like a flip phone of old or the Motorola Razr 2019, but with a long and flexible screen. That format is about compressing a typically-sized smartphone screen into a smaller factor, so we're still looking forward to the Fold 2 for the next foldable that expands to near-tablet size.
While the Galaxy Z Flip might be a comparatively affordable foldable, the Samsung Galaxy Fold is for those who want the cutting-edge of smartphone technology no matter what it costs and how unpolished it is.
But while we can’t recommend the Galaxy Fold to most, it is an exciting look at one possible future of phones, and the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is sure to fix some of the original's missteps.
Below you’ll find everything we've heard about it, along with a list of all the main things we want from it, because as you may have gathered, there’s plenty of room for improvement.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 release date and price
A variety of sources have claimed we'll be seeing the Galaxy Fold 2 in August this year. Two separate trusted leakers have also now said we'll be hearing about it on August 5 alongside the Galaxy Note 20.
One of those sources says that the phone will then be available to buy on August 20, which would match what Samsung has been able to do in previous years. Having said that, other sources have now said that while it will likely be unveiled in August, it probably won't be available to buy until September.
This may all be in flux considering the Covid-19 pandemic, but the current thinking is that August will be the unveiling at least, while the date you can buy it is looking like it will probably be in September.
The phone's name is up for debate, too. While we assumed it would straightforwardly follow the Galaxy Fold, a rumor suggests it may be named the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, following the Z Flip in establishing Z-series phones as Samsung's foldable line.
Some sources are claiming the price of the phone will be similar to the original. - that's $1,980 / £1,900 / AU$2,900. Another source meanwhile has said to expect a price of between $1,780 - $1,980, but most likely around $1,880 (roughly £1,510 / AU$2,900), which would make it around $100 cheaper than the original Galaxy Fold.
One final price leak puts it at 2000 euros, which is roughly $2,260 / £1,800 / AU$3,240. So if that's accurate then if anything it might cost a little more than the original Fold, but the price is looking somewhat similar in any case.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 design and display
While early Galaxy Fold 2 leaks all turned out to be of the Galaxy Z Flip, a number of newer leaks have also now emerged.
The most recent and detailed of these is a leaked render showing the front of the Galaxy Fold 2 with the screen open. It has notable bezels around every edge, and a punch-hole camera in an off-center position that looks a little strange.
However, when folded in half that position would actually be central to one of the screens. It also keeps the front camera hardware out of the way of the rear camera, which the same source suggests is in a rectangular block at the top right of the rear.
This design also gives the phone a rather Galaxy S20-like look, as well as being similar to Galaxy Note 20 leaks.
It would make sense for Samsung to unify the design of its main flagship ranges, so this could well be accurate, but of course we'd take it with a pinch of salt.
We’ve also seen for example the three possible designs below, one of which is a clamshell design (likely the Z Flip), while the other two are closer to the current model.

Another patent meanwhile talks about a folding phone that works with a stylus, which could bring a future Fold closer to Samsung’s Galaxy Note range. If the foldable phone was to launch alongside the Galaxy Note devices, that would make a lot of sense.
A further patent has also suggested Samsung may be increasing the size of the display on the front of the device too. If Samsung opted for this design, it'd be a long screen along the front of the device and it even suggests the phone would be potentially water and dust resistant likes the Samsung Galaxy S20.
Shipping with a stylus would make sense in order to make the most of the big screen, and the above patent specifically describes a stylus that can even work on the curved part of the screen while the phone is partially folded.
These rumors followed an earlier report that Samsung was working on two new foldable phones, one of which ended up being the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
The other is said to have a vertical fold like the original handset, but one that folds outwards, so the main screen is on the outside and always visible – it’s just either big or small depending on whether the phone is folded or unfolded. This sounds similar to the Huawei Mate X.
I just got word that Samsung will likely be launching the true Galaxy Fold successor in Q2 of this year. If I've conglomerates all the different reports correctly, it should have an 8" display, 108MP camera, ultra thin glass, SPen, Snapdragon 865 and 5G.January 24, 2020
More recently another source has said that it will have 12MP, 16MP and 64MP sensors. That's a similar setup to the Samsung Galaxy S20, which uses 64MP sensor for the telephoto lens, with the other two sensors taking main and ultra-wide duties, so the Galaxy Fold 2 could be the same.
One report also claims the phone is set to land with an in-display selfie camera to avoid wasting room on a notch in the screen. This is something we've heard Samsung is developing for quite a long time.
Having said that, a more recent leak suggests a punch-hole will be used instead, as in-display tech isn't ready. The source of this leak also revealed lots of other screen details, saying that the main display will be a 7.59-inch 2213 x 1689 one with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The front screen meanwhile will apparently be a 6.23-inch 2267 x 819 one with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Elsewhere it has been said that it will have a 10MP front-facing camera and a Snapdragon 855 chipset. That's the same chipset as the original Galaxy Fold and would be a bit dated by 2020 standards. We've heard several times that the 855 will be used, although 855 Plus has been mentioned too.
One chunky leak let us know, like the claims above, that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 could come with an S Pen stylus like the Galaxy Note phones, so you can annotate, sketch, doodle and take notes. A few other pieces of information were provided in the leak too.

One possible battery upgrade is in the phone's charging speed, as code found in official Samsung software points to it offering fast charging of somewhere between 25W and 45W, while the original Galaxy Fold is just 15W. Another leak meanwhile points specifically to 25W.
In a different leak though we heard that the Galaxy Fold 2 will have 15W charging, but that it will also support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, which lets you turn the device into its own wireless charging pad.
It's possible the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will come in both 4G and 5G versions, according to leaked code-names for the handset, but it remains to be seen if each is just region-exclusive like for the original Galaxy Fold. We'd fully expect at least some models to support 5G though, and indeed a certification listing suggests as much.
Another report also suggests the Galaxy Fold 2 will come with a 256GB variant alongside the standard 512GB. This information comes from SamMobile, and the site says it trusts its sources that there will be a lower spec version if you don't need all that space.
Finally, we've heard that the Galaxy Fold 2 could be slightly lighter than its predecessor, at 229g rather than 263g.
What we want to see
There are always ways phones can improve, but that’s truer of the Galaxy Fold than most high-end handsets. Impressive as it is in some ways, it’s rather lacking in others. With that in mind, here’s what we’re hoping for from the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
1. A lower price
The Samsung Galaxy Fold costs $1,980 / £1,800 (around AU$3,350), making it twice the price of a typical flagship. When you consider that this is one of the very first foldables and offers around twice the screen of a typical flagship, the price starts to make sense, but it still puts it out of most peoples’ reach.
So for the Galaxy Fold 2 we want to see a substantial reduction in price. It’s still likely to cost more than, say, the Samsung Galaxy S11, but being a second-generation product it’s possible that Samsung will be able to push the price down below its current level. It will need to if it wants foldables to become remotely mainstream.
2. A more durable design

While the Galaxy Fold is more durable than it originally was before Samsung had to delay it and make some alterations, it’s still even more fragile than a standard phone.
With a folding screen, a hinge, and a secondary smaller display, that’s perhaps inevitable, but we’d like to see Samsung do everything it can to make the Fold 2 tougher, especially if it’s going to be this expensive.
Basically, we want a phone that doesn’t need an entire care video created for it.
3. A better secondary screen

While the Galaxy Fold’s 7.3-inch main foldable display is impressive, its 4.6-inch secondary screen is less so. This is the screen you interact with when the main display is folded shut. This one doesn’t fold, is small, and has very large bezels above and below it.
For the Galaxy Fold 2 we want it at a minimum to have less bezel and be a bit bigger, but by designing the phone to have the main screen on the outside (so that the main screen folds down to half the size but is always visible), Samsung wouldn’t have to worry about building an extra display in at all. Though this might make the Fold 2 more fragile.
4. No more crease
One issue with the Galaxy Fold is that the crease down the middle is always noticeable. You’ll get used to it, but on a phone this expensive we don’t want to have to get used to things or make compromises, so for the Galaxy Fold 2 we’re hoping Samsung can do a better job of minimizing the crease when the screen is open.
5. An even refresh rate

The Fold’s display also suffers from an uneven refresh rate in our tests, meaning for example that if you scroll through a text-heavy webpage, the words will shift unevenly across the screen.
This isn’t the sort of thing we expect from a premium product, especially from a company with as much screen experience as Samsung, so we’d like to see this fixed for the next model.
6. A microSD card slot
A small point this one, but the Samsung Galaxy Fold, big as it is, hasn’t found space for a microSD card slot. Given that it comes with 512GB of storage this isn’t a big deal, but it’s still something we’d like to see offered in version two.
7. A bigger, faster charging battery
The Fold’s 4,380mAh battery (or 4,235mAh in the 5G version) is fairly large by smartphone standards, but this isn’t a standard smartphone, and while battery life is very solid, there’s always room for improvement.
So for the Galaxy Fold 2 we’d like to see Samsung squeeze an even bigger battery into it, making the most of that large size for very long life.
Poco M2 Pro launch in India is taking place today. As per the official details available so far, the Poco M2 Pro will debut with a quad rear camera setup.
The wave of software and apps that are getting the ‘dark mode’ treatment continues, ceaselessly beating against the default, glaring white of their interfaces.
Google has now announced that its G Suite products – Docs, Sheets, and Slides –are all getting support for Android's system-wide dark theme, as well as their own independent modes. The company claims that this tweak “can make it more usable in low-light environments and save battery life”.
Enabling it is simple – Android users just need to activate the system-wide dark theme (found in their device’s settings), or alternatively navigate to Menu > Settings > Theme > Dark from within either the Docs, Sheets, or Slides apps to activate them independently.
As is the case with the dark theme for Gmail, you can view specific documents or files in light mode if you’d wish to temporarily change the interface. With a document open, navigate to ‘more’, then simply select ‘view in light theme’.
While some Android users may already have the update applied to their device, those that don’t should have it within the next few weeks as Google continues to roll out the changes, however it’s worth noting that this feature is listed for ‘extended rollout’, so it may take longer than two weeks for some.
At the time of writing, there’s no sign on whether iOS versions of the apps will be getting the same dark theme treatment, but we expect it will occur at some point down the line.
