Meet the Canon Pixma TS3122, an all in one wireless multifunction inkjet printer on sale at Walmart now for a mere $19, down from $49.

The price includes free pickup but no free delivery; but that still makes it by far the cheapest printer we’ve seen, especially as this includes a full set of cartridges (PG-243/CL-244). free photo paper and a power cord but no USB cable.

On it's own, the cartridge set sells for $27, which is far higher than the price of the printer and the ink by itself. In other words, it is better for your pocket - but not for the environment - to buy them both together.

All together

What do you get in the box? A printer with a resolution of up to 4800 x 1200dpi that can do borderless printing, offers wireless functionality, app printing and has a rear paper tray capacity of 60 sheets. It also doubles as a CIS flatbed optical scanner with a resolution of 1200 x 600dpi.

The Pixma TS3122 has a tiny footprint compared to the competition and weighs significantly less as well. There’s no fancy features like touchscreen functionality, fax, automatic document feeder, USB printing or a network port, but we do like the fact that it is a reasonably well supported printer with its latest firmware dating from early 2019.

While it will not make the cut for the best printers of 2020, it will almost definitely be included in our best cheap printer deals lineup, assuming Walmart doesn’t run out of stock soon.

Realme had a great 2019, with its growing manifold in terms of users and thus gaining the crown for the fastest-growing brand in the country. For 2020, Realme’s ambitions include a smartphone with a 108MP camera and an entry into the fitness band segment.

Realme has gone on to become one of the most popular smartphone makers in India, primarily owing to its incredible value offerings. In a downhill battle with Redmi to win the market, both the manufacturers have often broken the consumers’ price expectations, making India one of the best markets for mid-range smartphones.

For 2020, Realme is aiming to diversify beyond smartphones and wants to be India’s largest tech-lifestyle brand starting with a Fitness band. It was confirmed in the latest episode of #AskMadhav, where the CEO confirmed the existence of the fitness tracker and mentioned that it would launch sometime in the first half of 2020 in India. We expect it to be a budget fitness band, similar to those from Xiaomi.

Madhav Sheth also confirmed in an interview with The Mobile Indian that a Realme smartphone with a 108MP camera would also be coming to India “early next year.” It will implement the Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX image sensor, which debuted on the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 (Mi CC9 Pro in China) in November. This Penta-cam smartphone is expected to come to India in January. Realme will probably wait to see how Xiaomi places its 108MP smartphone before bringing its own.

The interview also included details about Realme’s offline expansion. By the end of 2020, they plan to have over 30,000 retail stores in India. Madhav added that the growth wouldn’t be as rapid as their online sales, but they want to be more accessible. These could involve a new range of smartphones, specifically for the offline market.

Realme is looking to make a mark into non-smartphone products and wants to be a tech-lifestyle brand going forward. Earlier reports even suggested that a Realme smart TV is also in the works. Other plans include entering new price segments.

Reliance Jio has launched a new annual plan, the 2020 Happy New Year Offer, which comes with a validity of 365 days. This plan applies to both existing Jio users and JioPhone owners and is only available for a limited time.

Jio's 2020 Happy New Year Offer provides 1.5GB data per day for 365 days, along with 12,000 minutes worth of calls to non-Jio customers and 100 SMS per day. Besides, users also get access to the bouquet of Jio apps as a complimentary subscription for a year.

Overall, this plan ensures that users will not have to go through the hassle of recharging their Jio accounts every month or quarter. For instance, the Jio plan worth Rs 555 gives users the same benefits but is valid for 84 days. If you recharge the same plan for the entirety of the year, it comes down to Rs 2,220 for the whole year.

With the 2020 Happy New Year plan, Jio offers a discount of around Rs 200 if you go for the new plan. It is a great deal, but on the other hand, you will also be restricted to Jio's network for the next year. So, keep that in mind if you're planning to go for the Happy New Year Offer by Reliance Jio.

Airtel has a similar offer for their customers as well, and it costs Rs 2,398 (in Delhi) with 1.5GB data per day and a validity of 365 days. Vodafone Idea also has a plan with the same benefits priced at Rs 2,399. This makes the Jio 2020 Happy New Year offer more affordable than the plans by the other two telecom services.

Recently, Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone revised their tariff plans in the wake of Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC) regulations and also due to the massive loss incurred by the latter two telecom services.

In 2019, Reliance Jio also ventured into the home broadband segment with the commercial rollout of JioFiber with speeds up to 1Gbps. You can read more about it here.

The WD 5TB Elements and the Seagate 5TB Expansion are the cheapest portable hard drives per terabyte right now; they both cost $99.99 for an unformatted capacity of 5TB, which equates to just under $20 per TB.

You won’t find anything cheaper anywhere although we can see that prices have been down to as little as $89.99 recently.

Both utilise 2.5-inch hard disk drives with five platters and encased in a plastic enclosure. Both also offer a flat USB 3.0 port and lack features found on more expensive models; backup software, password protection, hardware encryption or Type-C connectivity.

That said, if your needs are simple, that is, you only need a backup device for your files or or a backup drive for your gaming console, then they should be great purchases. Note that both portable hard drives spin at 5400RPM and come with a one-year warranty.

As always, we recommend that you get a cloud storage solution to backup your files as well as a hard drive protection plan and a data recovery service for external hard drives. These may add up to the price of the drives but like insurance, it is better to be safe than sorry.
